Robbie Brewster

Robbie is an illustrator/ author, living under a famous mountain in Wales. From the age of ten after watching Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘Rear Window’, he knew exactly what he wanted and needed to do.

He wrote his first novel at fifteen titled ‘Summerland’ and went onto self-publish his first graphic novel ‘The Fight Between Light And Darkness’ in 2017, five years in the making.

He was selected as writer/director in the prestigious ‘Screen Gems’ scheme, the largest European short film scheme and has a career in film and television spanning thirty years. He enjoys creating visual stories as graphic novels/ comics and is currently developing his new graphic novel called ‘So Near Yet Sofa’.

Robbie has a passion for visual storytelling and has written and illustrated 6 self-published graphic novels to date. They sit on the shelf with his vast collection of art-books, comics and graphic novels in his studio Ahoy. In 2023 he was longlisted in the highly competitive ‘First Graphic Novel Competition’ for ‘Click Memory Brick’.

Robbie graduated from Falmouth University with a master’s degree in illustration, proudly receiving a Distinction in early 2023.

He works traditionally with graphite, inks, watercolours and digitally with Clip Studio.

His favourite things in the world being the video games series ‘The Last Of Us’ by Naughty Dog.

His clients include: Orange River, Guru Films, Tiger Global, Dalen, Glass Shot, Leafem, Brothers In Exile, Anhunedd and Sonny Jim.
